More people are watching apps on their CTV

Viewership The free platforms associated with CTV devices (Roku, Freevee, Samsung, LG, and Vizio) had higher levels of growth on average than both paid platforms and other AVODs.

TV has not full relented its place in the American home and will continue to hang on by its strong ties to some of America’s favorite content genres, Cable News and Sports.

About the Broadbeam Streaming Study

Methodology:

  • We asked 1500 people, with TVs in their home, about their CTV (and TV) habits in December 2022.
    • This increase in people allowed us to included any TV households to compared all types of TV viewing (in the previous way respondents were required to have a connected TV or TV device)
  • Loose quotas were used to keep demographics balanced
